My journey into cooking began in the most unexpected way. Growing up in Sierra Leone, West Africa, I had very little interest in the kitchen. I preferred spending my time outdoors playing with my brothers. The only exception was when my grandmother prepared my favourite traditional West African dishes. Those moments drew me into the kitchen, where she patiently showed me how food was prepared and shared generations of culinary wisdom. When I moved to the United Kingdom, my relationship with food changed dramatically. Having grown up in an environment where most food was naturally grown and minimally processed, I assumed the foods around me were equally nourishing. Instead, I found myself consuming large amounts of processed foods, pastries, dairy products, and convenience meals. At the same time, I was living in supported accommodation with very limited finances and often survived on the cheapest foods I could afford.

Over time, my health began to decline. I experienced constant fatigue, digestive issues, acid reflux, and frequent ER visits. Despite numerous appointments, I was repeatedly told that nothing was seriously wrong. While medication was offered, something deep within me felt that the answer was not simply another prescription. I believed there had to be a deeper connection between my health and my lifestyle. That belief led me on a journey of research, self-discovery, and healing.

I began studying nutrition, food combinations, holistic wellness, and the powerful connection between what we eat and how we feel. Through years of learning and experimentation, I transformed my relationship with food and experienced first-hand how nourishing meals could support energy, digestion, and overall wellbeing. Today, I hold certifications in Holistic Health & Wellness and Nutrition, Food Safety & Hygiene, and currently pursing my Masters in Global Public Health Nutrition. Everything I create and share comes from both education and lived experience.

My mission is simple: to help people reconnect with food in a way that supports their health, energy, and quality of life. I believe good food should not only taste delicious. It should help us feel our best so we can fully enjoy life our loved ones, pursue our purpose, and make the most of the life we've been given.

As a woman of Lebanese and West African heritage, my cooking reflects the cultures, traditions, and flavours that shaped me. Most importantly, my work is rooted in gratitude to God, who created our bodies with incredible wisdom and provided the natural foods that nourish them. For me, healthy eating is not about living longer. It is about living better, with strength, vitality, purpose, and joy.

My biggest transformation occurred not just after a change of diet but becoming aware that, every action, word and thought, whether it be big or small; negative or positive, impacts my entire being.
